Light Your Surroundings, Light Your Life!

It's been a pretty known observation that people surrounded by good lighting are likely to stay in better mood then those who spend time in darkness. Wall lights not only brighten a room or a shelter but can be a perfect away to enhance the beauty and spirit of it. Nowadays the standard of lighting systems and other illuminating objects has gone so high that these are created with no less aesthetic appeal than a piece of art. Whether they're bathroom wall lights or lighting for an upscale banquet, they've got to be above and beyond the usual.

Designer lighting these days are available for different areas of a house, studio, offices and even administrative buildings. Lighting should be installed with according to the interiors of a space so that it compliments the architect and add to the functionality of the space. Many architects and interior designers keep the lighting in mind while designing different kinds of spaces.

Each Space to its Own Light

Lights in every space must be such that they illuminate the required area thoroughly and exclude what that's to be illuminated. Identifying areas or sections of a space is very important in determining what kind of wall lights or lighting has to be put up there. Designer lighting provides a lot of variety to choose from. Designer lightings are usually designed in unique shapes and unusual ways to bring out different effects of lighting.

Designer lighting can be used in all kinds of spaces such as a lawn, room, restaurant and even bathroom. There are some great designs of bathroom wall lights that can give any chandelier a run for its money. A little on the expensive side, designer wall lights or for that matter even exclusive bathroom wall lights when added to the space, completely transform it.

Every space demand its own specific wall lights or lighting system. Since there's a lot of science that goes on into designing the illuminated and non-illuminated area in a space, it becomes very difficult to select the right kind of lighting for a space. Some require the din more than being brightened in such a case the wall lights could be dimmer than usual or shaded to control the spread and scattering around. Bathroom wall lights on the other hand are preferred to be brilliant in their effect so go for designer lights that are illuminate all the areas of a bathroom

Whatever the space there may be available, let the wall lights be designer too and transform it from being what it is to being what it should really be! Keep in mind both aesthetics and functionality of a space when choosing lights for it.

Bathroom Wall Lights – light up your bathroom

Bathroom Wall Lights are a great way of providing light in your bathroom with less shadows and more light where you need it. Here are a few tips to help you position the lights in your bathroom for greater effect.
If you just have one light in your bathroom then you are starting from scratch. You could change the ceiling light for something bigger or brighter but there is still the chance that the ceiling light will provide shadows at the mirror, and provide very little light in the shower.  So first think about what task you need to undertake in the bathroom and then design the lighting around that.
At your sink you may have a Mirror, vanity mirror or mirrored cabinets. At this location you may wish to undertake tasks such as shaving, applying make-up or just checking your appearance. If the light is behind you or above your head the reflection will be full of shadows. Positioning bathroom wall lights either side of the mirror is an excellent way of illuminating your face to make these tasks easier.
Often existing wiring can be used for bathroom wall lights. If a shaver point is available this can be removed and replaced with a bathroom wall light that incorporates a shaver socket. If there is a pull cord on this light then the light may operate independently from any other lighting in the bathroom. With bathroom shaver lights you can also charge your toothbrush or electric razor as well. Now you can also find mirrors with shaver sockets, lighting and a demister pad incorporated making your bathroom as well appointed as any swish hotel bathroom.
Bathroom wall lights are often available in styles to suit you decor with glass and polished chrome being one of the most popular finishes. But with a search you will find bathroom lighting that used satin nickel, brushed nickel, black, bronze and even gold finishes. But for a simple style a bathroom wall light with white or opal glass and white painted metalwork remain popular. Period bathroom wall lights are available too with fitting in an Art Dec style being very popular.
Dimming of bathroom lighting can change the mood of a bathroom and at night being able to dim the lights is very desirable making the bathroom more intimate than the bright lights used when applying make-up or shaving. If you want to change the mood of your bathroom just dim the lights and light a few candles. Bathroom wall lights that use halogen and incandescent lamps can be dimmed easily but most compact fluorescent lamps are not dimmable.
You do not need to worry too much about glare in a bathroom as users are not in the space for a great deal of time and more light is better than less light. However bare lamps are not a good idea as many locations in a bathroom need lighting that is safe to use. When lighting is position close to a sink, shower or bath it should have an IP or ingress protection rating of at least IP44 to ensure your safety. If in doubt speak to your electrician for advice and installation in accordance with UK wiring regulations.
